The members of the 22nd Kansas Volunteer Infantry Regiment were from farms, small towns, and Kansas City, Kansas. The regiment was stationed at Camp Alger, Falls Church, Virginia and Camp Meade, Middletown, Pennsylvania preparing for deployment to Cuba or Puerto Rico.
