Description

Captain Alexander Wilkin was the Commanding Officer of Company A, First Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment.  Rose to the rank of Colonel and Commanding Officer of the 9th Minnesota Infantry Regiment, killed in action Jul 14, 1864, at the Battle of Tupelo, Mississippi.
